"Breathtaking" coverage of Israel

The New York Observer sez:

"Breathtaking is the only word for the splendid coverage that reporter Liel Liebovitz has been doing in The Jewish Week on the idea wars over Israel in the U.S. and U.K. Liebovitz doesn't seem to agree wholly with Israel's critics. That hasn't kept him from doing an honest and thorough job in describing their views."

It's not exactly easy to find unbiased and informed writing about Isreal's place in the world. U.S. coverage is -- in my humble opinion -- excessively pro-Israel, while much of the rest of the world leans in the opposite direction. Anyone interested in the topic -- and who isn't? -- should seek out Mr. Leibovitz's work.
